July has brought us quite a mixture of weather but we have had some lovely activities in the garden and have especially enjoyed the music. The record player is always a firm favourite and we listened to an interesting collection of songs on the LPs.

Chris came in and played the organ for us again, he started off with a music quiz and then we had a lovely sing along, everyone really enjoyed it.

We had a wonderful church service taken by Jan with our resident organist playing the organ for the hymns which we also enjoyed.

In art and craft this month we made a hanging bird. Two sides of the bird were cut out, coloured in then stuck together to form a three-dimensional bird. The result was very effective.

Not many projects are happening in the garden at the moment, we are just watching our plants grow and fruit. Everyone has been enjoying the cucumbers and the tomatoes are gradually growing and slowly changing colour.

The Chillies are also growing well and ripening. Our tubs of flowers are doing well and we hope to see more colour on them soon.

Our usual other quizzes, board games, bingo and memory games have also been happening. A new story was started in story-telling; Tarka the Otter, so hopefully everyone will enjoy that.
