At the beginning of September, we started to get ready for the Combwich flower show which we did so well in last year with one of our resident's; Janet winning two cups for art and craft and joint best in show, so we had a lot to live up to.

Several residents coloured in pictures of a cute otter for one of the entries. We also had several residents enter Garden on a Plate, all the entries looked great.

Other residents entered other categories including, the show, next year's program design, a knitted item, vegetables and flowers.

We did very well and got at least one certificate for most entries, but Janet excelled in the next flower show program design and was chosen as the entry to be printed next year.

Roger excelled in picking the right plants and the good specimens in pollinating plants category from the garden, he got a first prize which culminated in a lovely hand turned wooden bowl for us to keep on display throughout the year. It's proudly displayed in our entrance hall.

Everyone had great fun completing the entries and seeing the exhibits displayed in the hall was well worth all the effort.

Our usual activities and entertainment continued through the month.
