The tomatoes in the greenhouse have certainly benefited from the mixed weather and many are turning red now, although the cucumbers have been on a go slow. Our planters are looking good, it's amazing to think these and the vegetables were all grown from seeds in the spring.
We have had some great music this month, David Milton from Watchet came in and sung a great selection of sea shanties, which made a change from our usual songs. Chris's sing alongs are a firm favourite too, whether we are singing or just listening to him play.
We had a lovely church service on the theme of 'gratitude' with some popular hymns, and our resident organist played a wonderful selection of old favourites. We have a great selection of folk songs for another musical morning for us to enjoy.
We have had our usual games in the home, active ones like skittles, darts, tin cans, hoops and bean bags as well as board games, bingo and flexercise. We had an afternoon of boules in the garden, with about 12 residents participating, which everyone really enjoyed.
We have had our usual stories, poetry, reminiscing and one to one sessions.
Our art session produced some wonderful pictures with the theme being Prince, our house cat.
