Weekly News

Since lockdown began we have been providing a weekly newsletter for the families of our residents to keep them connected with photos and news of daily life in The Vicarage. The following is a piece written by one of our residents for this week’s newsletter.

“What a lovely week we have had, we have been quite busy which is a good thing. There is no sitting around, or sleep all day here. We finished off the decoration on the fans and varnished the stones which we had painted previously. We played games such as scrabble and bingo, answered quizzes and reminisces about childhood holidays, as well as flexercise with balls and balloons, all to try to keep us fit, healthy and wise! Today we have gathered flowers from the garden and then arranged them. So you see we maybe old but are not useless, it all goes to show everyone has a value.”

The week finished with a lovely sing a long in the lounge with our resident pianist playing the organ and lifting everyone’s spirits as the rain poured again outside.
